At be beginning of February I wrote a post on Facebook about what I wanted to do with that space, and essentially this website. I had every intention to follow up on here, but am just now getting to it.
Here is what I wrote:
What to do with this space…
I have had this page for about a year now, and it has taken me just as long to figure out what I want to use it for.
I THINK I have figured it out…
I mentioned in a blog post a while back that I have started to work at Den Hele Ekvipage Horse Center. It is me that runs that Facebook page as well. However, I think I will use this space to document the horse heard there.
It makes sense. Almost all my photos from the last year come from there. However I will be sharing more of my personal experiences here as well, and in more detail on the blog.
I have spent the last year getting acquainted with the horse world and horse industry. There is a lot of it that just doesn’t make sense to me, and a lot of it that doesn’t feel right. However, I have found a place where it makes much more sense in many ways. I have found people who think on similar ideas, and more importantly people who are opened minded, and at the same time let me figure stuff out for myself.
So that is my direction now, my experiences with the heard of horses at Den Hele Ekvipage, as well as my experiences working and managing a horse center.
Today (or yesterday or tomorrow.. can’t quite remember..) marks 1 year of being a part of the group of people at Den Hele Ekvipage. And the journey over the last year has just been that… a journey.
Trying to figure out my place in the horse world hasn’t been easy. And I don’t think I have figured that one out 100%, but the more time I spend with horses and horse people, I realize that my real strength lies in management, espeically the business side of things, and spreading awareness.
I want to advocate and educate.
To do this I need to keep learning, which I plan to do. It is not so secret anymore that I am taking on a bigger role at Den Hele Ekvipage. What that is I won’t disclose until it is official, but running the project and day to day is a big part of that. I will be putting a lot more focus on the Den Hele Ekvipage website and Facebook page.
So what does that mean for The Equine Soul? Well, I will be using this space to blog about my own personal development with horses, and more specifically
I imagine sharing my photography will be a big part of it.
I can’t say how often I will post… but I hope it will be a lot more now that I have figured out what it is I want to write about. I hope you will all follow along 🙂
